33 just so happens to be how many weeks pregnant I will be when I turn 33 this coming Monday. ooooooo.
Last Sunday, I was surprised by many of the ladies I know and love! I was supposed to go have brunch with two amazing friends, Julie and Jessi. We were going to sit and eat crepes while Julie's fantastic boyfriend (I'm going to start calling him her spouse,) cooked them for us :)
I drove up to Julie's house and, although I saw lots of cars, I just thought it was like my neighborhood - LDS church mission farewells or something like that at one of the neighbors houses. Instead, I was greeted by many of my favorite people, there to wish me a happy birthday/baby shower!
Clueless me. I truly had no idea. Julie and Jessi had been planning this for awhile when they heard from my Aunt Mary, asking for names/addresses because she was going to be having a surprise birthday party for me. A big, grand one! When they all realized there were 2 parties in the works, Mary agreed to scale down and help Julie and Jessi with the surprise ladies' brunch :) It struck me as funny, because I've never had a surprise party, and there were two in the works. I am lucky to know such thoughtful women in my life :) And I guess when you have a baby due near your birthday, there's that much more to celebrate!
They did such a fantastic job making the day special. The food (crepes, yogurt with fruit and granola, breakfast bacon and sausage, cupcakes, cake balls, cakes (mmm...cake,) etc, was DELICOUS! There was an awesome game where people had to cut out pieces of pictures from mine, Dave's and Isaac's faces, and put them together to show what Baby McGee will look like. HAAAAA! I was super entertained. The decorations were so adorable. I was greeted by a big poster that Mary made with pictures pictures of me as a wee one and now. I was also totally spoiled with very thoughtful, nice gifts for myself and baby McGee.
So, once more, thanks to you amazingly talented and special ladies in my life. I am SO lucky to have you.
And now, some photos. I obviously didn't have my camera, but Julie so kindly made sure we got some awesome pictures with her camera :)

| Some of the creations of what Baby McGee will come out of the womb looking like. |
| Julie made a whole assortment of magnets for party favors. How cute and practical? I love them. I hoarded 4 magnets :) |
| Another of Julie's creations. She designed, cut, sewed this. She knows that Dave's favorite animal is an octopus :) |
| One of several adorable burp rags Julie created. |
| A lovey, snuggly, blankie, whatever you might call it. Yet another of Julie's awesome creations. Some of the people at the party were saying "everyone needs a Julie." True dat. | | |

| Another talent queen friend, Dana, designed, and handmade/sewed these beautiful mice slippers/Piddies. They are so soft, inside and out. I was super excited about these. She made little bluebirds when Isaac was born, and they are one of the few things I HAD to save :) |
| Julie and my favorite neighbor Amy Kim (If you read this Amy, shhhhhh....don't tell :) |
| My very treasured friend Jessi, her cute sister Ali, and my sweet friend VaRonica, who is due to have a baby, like NOW. |
| Workin' on their creations. |
| I love these ladies! Dana, me, Hillary. |
| Baby bumps with cute VaRonica. Doesn't she look good for 40 weeks pregnant? I promise mine does look bigger than this, it was just a strange angle I was standing at. |

My lovely grandma Jo, me, Julie, Teri and my ma (best ma ever!)
And while I'm blogging, a pregnancy update. Feeling good, but bigger than ever. I am noticing that the clothes that were barely fitting me at the VERY END of Isaac's pregnancy, are already at that stage with this one. My belly button never popped out with Isaac, and it's popped a little with this one. I never got stretch marks with Isaac, but I have a feeling I may with this one. How much farther can my skin stretch, I mean, really? That's okay if I get them though, they'll just be reminders of carrying my beloved boys :) Oh, and when I took my socks off last night, I noticed that I had indentations on my ankles from my sock line. So there's the swelling/water retention. Yay! That all sounds uncomfortable, but really I haven't noticed a difference in the way I feel. May that continue for at least several more weeks! :)
